My 2021 New Year's resolution was to start and keep a bullet journal. I'm four months in and have been successful so far ! Read on to see my pages for May and how I use my BuJo.
Here is my cover picture. Each month I create a design with the month name to start my monthly spread. This month I chose butterflies to symbolize being free of stress and worries (I wish). School lets out this month for UCPS so I'll be out of school and roaming free for summer ! I use plastic sticky tabs to separate out each month so I can easily plan in advance.
This is my mood tracker for this month, it's a bubble gum machine ! Each month, I create an image with smaller images I can color in depending on my mood for the day. I keep the same colors each month: "happy" is always pink, "sad" is always purple, "tired" is always periwinkle, "bleh" is always blue, "stressed" is always mint, and "sick" is always marigold. Each circle (aka gum-ball) is labeled with a number representing a date this month. I color in the circle that corresponds with the current date the color that goes with my mood that day.
This is my sleep log ! It's pretty simple, each date is on the left and the times are up top. I draw lines going from the left to the right depending on what time I go to bed and what time I wake up. On May 1st, I slept from 10pm to 6am, so I started my line at 10 and kept going until below 6. I keep the same layout each month, but I use different colors and themes. This month, I'm doing rainbow colors switching each day in "ROYGBIV" order.
Besides my coverage, I change this page the most. I use the habit tracker to keep track of important habits like the following: washing my hair, cleaning, studying, going outside, getting crafty, saving money, relaxing, and exercising. This month I made a circle grid with enough columns for every date this month. I'll go down the column and color what activities I did that day. I kept it simple this month but in the past I've done planets, cats, pizza toppings, and Among Us Crewmates.
My "Highlight of the Day" page is always my last page in my spread. I list out the dates on the page and simply write the best part of my day next to the date. Writing the highlight of my day allows me to be grateful for everything I have and reminds me how fortunate I am. It also helps me hold a more optimistic outlook on my life.
This concludes my May spread ! Thank you for flipping through my bullet journal with me and learning how I use mine. My mood tracker idea came off of Pinterest, but the other designs are my own. I hope I've inspired you to get create and work on a BuJo of your own !
