The Reading Room is a nonprofit bookstore staffed only with volunteers. It collects donations of used books for all ages and sells them to raise money for the local Waxhaw Library. Join me as I explain the reading room and share how you can help out!

All proceeds from the Reading Room will be donated to help build a new Waxhaw Library in the future. So far, the donations have contributed the children's computer system in the existing library. Donating or buying books from the Reading Room will allow you to help the Waxhaw community!
While it is a used bookstore, the Reading Room still has good material. This includes some old, rare books, such as an 18 book collection of William Sydney Porter, also known as O'Henry. You never know what great book you might find in this store!
Volunteering
Another great thing about the Reading Room is that it is operated solely by volunteers. If you want to spend some time volunteering in a bookstore, this is a great opportunity for you!
You can use this link to access the Library Association of Waxhaw Reading Room volunteering application: https://libraryassociationofwaxhaw.org/VolunteerApplication.pdf. Print and fill out this form and bring it into the Reading Room to start volunteering!
