If you're asking yourself "What is a shaker card?," it's a greeting card with a clear, plastic window full of sequins or some sort of glitter and glitz that dance around when you shake the card. Here are a few easy steps on how to make your own!
Supplies
Blank Greeting Card (4x5 card or preferred size)
Blank Sheet of Card Stock (4x5 or match to the preferred size of the blank greeting card)
Clear Acetate Sheet (4x5 or match to the preferred size of the blank greeting card)
Double-Sided Tape
Scissors
Sequins/Glitter/Rhinestones
Paper Crafting Embellishments (pens, stickers, etc.)
Step One:
Sketch and cut out a rectangle in the center of your blank cardstock.
Step Two:
Open the blank greeting card and lay the clear acetate sheet over the left, cut side of the blank greeting card and add double-sided tape to the edges of the acetate sheet.
Step Three:
Pour sequins, glitter, rhinestones, or shakable glitz in the center of the acetate sheet and secure them by placing a blank sheet of cardstock over the acetate sheet.
Step Four:
Decorate your card and shake it up!
So, there you have it. Have fun making your own shaker card as you turn your simple greeting cards into works of art!
