Finally Reading Love and Gelato

Do you ever have that book that stays on your TBR list for far too long? When you finally get around to it you wonder why you didn't pick up the book sooner. This was Love and Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch for me. It's a quick read that's perfect for those that love a summer-themed meet-cute. It's a trilogy, but each book follows a different character, so you could read just the first one if you like or all three.

It follows Lina in the aftermath of her mother's passing as she fulfills her dying wish to journey across the Atlantic to spend the summer with her father whom she has never met. Upon landing, she discovers a journal that her mom wrote during her summer abroad in Tuscany as a teen. With the help of the cute Italian-American boy next door, Lina discovers the truth about her mom's past as well as coping with her loss and discovering herself in the beautiful hills of Tuscany.

So, now that I have Love & Gelato off my TBR list, it's time to tackle the rest of it. The problem with my TBR list is once I get a book read I find more I want to read, especially with all of the new books coming out this month. So, if you can't find me this month then I'm most likely curled up in the recliner with my fur babies and my newest YA find trying my best to reach my reading goal for this year of 50 books (only 10 more to go!).

Happy Reading,

Ashleigh Edwards
