Paper Pumpkins for Halloween

It’s Fall, Y’all!

Which means that it’s time for me to attempt to do a Pinterest pumpkin craft. I’m not sure why I try my hand at crafting, because it usually ends in what we would call an epic Pinterest fail!!! But hey - I had fun doing it, and that is all that matters.

So, this is what the book page pumpkin is supposed to look like…..

This is what my two attempts at a “book page pumpkin” look like….

So, as you can see neither one of these attempts look like the actual result that was supposed to be achieved. And before you freak out about me cutting up a Harry Potter book, these page strips were from a discarded library copy that had been well loved by our patrons.

My tip to you is to read the instructions from top to bottom before starting and be sure you understand each step. My pumpkin on the left was a result of me not reading the instructions correctly and cutting the paper strips in the wrong direction. The second one turned out a little better, but that’s because you can’t see all the hot glue holding it together...haha.

Here is a link to the instructions and may you have better luck than I did. There are also instructions on making a twine pumpkin, but I knew there was no way my less than crafty self could do that one.

Check out that craft here: Twine Pumpkins

Have a lovely Fall, and happy crafting!
