If you hate dog-earing your pages, are out of bookmarks, or prefer using something a little more fun to keep track of your page, this is the craft for you! When completed, this butterfly bookmark sits at the corner of a page. It is as useful as a bookmark, but so much more creative and fun!
Supplies:
Paper (any color you want)
Ruler
Scissors
Pen or Pencil (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cut a piece of paper into a 4cm by 6cm rectangle.
2. Fold the paper into quarters. Then, unfold back into halves.
3. Fold the top of the paper down into two triangles, making a single triangle at the top. Then, unfold the triangles.
4. Invert the triangles into the inside of the folds. Then, let the paper form into two sections standing up. Fold what was the front and back faces in half, making four sections when standing up. Fold what was the front and back faces in half again and make that the new front and back face, creating a triangle with what looks like two legs.
5. Turn it upside down and make a small fold in the shape of a triangle at the tops.
6. Undo the small triangles and use those folds to undo the large triangles at the bottom, creating the wings.
7. Decorate it if you want to and enjoy using your new butterfly bookmark!
