Mental Health Paintings

When it comes to a positive mental well being, it is a consistent uphill battle for me.

I never really a spend a full day anymore wallowing in my own self distain, YAY, but I still try to find ways to get ahead of it. And this has been such a wonderful cathartic experience for me...


Materials Needed:

One Canvas or Canvas Board

One Permanent Marker

Acrylic Paint

Paintbrush or Paint Sponge




First thing is first... Write down everything about yourself that you dislike, wish you could change, or even flat out hate. Fill up that canvas! (Yes I did blur out my self hate-We do not ever want that to get into the wrong hands.)


Next--- COVER IT IN PAINT! Cover it all up. Don't leave room for even the air to embrace these thoughts.



Finally......................... Write a meaningful quote (MEANINGFUL TO YOU) smack dab in the middle!

(Excuse my lack of flair on the handwriting.)


Sit back and enjoy a deep soothing breath.

Repeat process when wanted or needed! <3


And of course, LOVE YOURSELF!
