Nail Polish Marbling

Supplies Needed:


  • 1 Large Bin Mostly Filled with Cool Water

  • Nail Polish of Varying Colors

  • Items You Wish to Marble

  • Stir Sticks

  • Optional: Painter's Tape


Step 1: Fill an empty bin with cool water halfway or mostly full. ​ Step 2: Select your combination of nail polishes. ​ Step 3: Pour your nail polish selections into the water. ​ Step 4: Select the items you wish to marble. ​ Step 5: Dip your selected items into the puddle of nail polish that has collected on top of the water. ​ Step 6: Set items aside to dry. ​ Step 7: Use stir stick to collect excess nail polish left in water. ​ Step 8: Repeat if desired. ​ -- Kristie Hill, Library Associate
