If you have ever participated in the traditional past time of Easter Egg dyeing, hiding, and hunting, you know just how smelly those at home dye kits can be. Nothing quite like the smell of vinegar lingering in all corners of the house to really make your day, right? With that in mind, today I am bringing you a super easy, fun, and smell proof option for dyeing eggs, while also embracing yet another item you can tie-dye!
Materials Needed:
Vinyl Gloves
Paper Towels
Liquid Food Coloring
Spray Bottle with Water
Rubberbands
Hard Boiled Eggs
Step 1: Take your hard boiled eggs and wrap them in a paper towel, bunching the material at the top. Use a rubber band to secure the paper towel covering.
Step 2: Pick a color and use the built in dropper to drop spots of color onto the paper towel covering your egg. Try to space them out.
Step 3: Repeat Step 2 with colors until you are satisfied. Do not worry about leaving white space.
Step 4: When you are satisfied with your coverage, grab your spray bottle. Spray the paper towel with water saturating the remainder of the paper towel. (Keep in mind, the more water the less deep the color will appear on the egg.)
Step 5: Squeeze the paper towel around the egg gently. This allows for the color to transfer and the excess water to be released.
Step 6: Allow to dry. (Mine took about 5 hours in total to dry, but it was a cooler day.)
Step7: Once dry, unwrap and enjoy your eggcellent creations!
Have fun, eat candy!
