Brazil is a country located in South America, known mostly for containing most of the Amazon forest and Rio de Janeiro, its most popular city. However, they have some sweet treats in this nation that are criminally underappreciated.
Brigadeiros are a sort of chocolate truffle made with condensed milk, cocoa powder or melted chocolate, chocolate sprinkles, and butter. There are many different kinds, including a coconut version, but the most popular is the original chocolate bonbon.
Ingredients (8 servings):
1 tablespoon butter
14 oz sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 cup chocolate sprinkles
Instructions:
In a pot over low heat, melt together the butter, condensed milk, and cocoa powder.
Stir continuously until you can see the bottom of the pot for 2-3 seconds when dragging a spatula/whisk through it.
Pour onto a greased plate/bowl
Chill for 1 hour.
Coat your hands in butter so the mixture won't stick to your hands.
Shape and roll the chilled mixture into balls of about 1 inch in diameter.
Dip the balls into a bowl of chocolate sprinkles, making sure to cover the entire surface.
Enjoy!
